The National Institute for Health and Care Research have announced some Funding Calls and introductory webinars which may be of interest.
Programme Development Grants – Developing Innovative, Inclusive and Diverse Public Partnerships call – webinar on 21 June.
“This Programme Development Grant call is in response to researcher, public and community feedback that more time and space is needed to plan and develop relationships and ways of working together for more relevant and impactful research. The PDG scheme invites applications to carry out and evaluate novel partnership-based development activities that break new ground in research involvement and engagement, including with groups who have been under-served by research.” Further information and registration link for introductory webinar on Tuesday 21 June here.

Research for Social Care Call – webinar on 28 June.
“RfSC will fund research which generates evidence to improve, expand and strengthen the way in which social care is delivered for people who draw on care services and support, carers, and the public. How to apply Public Involvement Effectively to your Research Application: NIHR Webinar on Wednesday 6th July
“This 75-minute webinar is aimed at researchers applying for NIHR Fellowship Awards and staff accountable for public involvement. The webinar will cover:
- NIHR’s definition of public involvement
- UK Standards for Public Involvement in Research
- Guidance on co-producing a research project
- The support Research Design Service (RDS) provides for researchers in regards to public involvement
- What NIHR is looking for in the public involvement section of the researcher’s application
- Payment and recognition for public involvement.”
