Here, we are sharing a contribution written by Survivor Researcher Network member, Jason Antoniewicz. Jason is considering research around practices that he has developed for himself and found useful.

“From October 2025 to March 2026 I immersed myself in a technique of recording and reviewing text, audio and video which took me from confusion in a secure unit of the mental health system to clarity, while contributing to a discharge from a CTO.
Along the way, by experimenting with these mediums, which can develop skills, knowledge and confidence, I uncovered and researched leads that cropped up, and answered questions I hadn’t realised needed answers in the various domains of my life, giving me a direction that hadn’t emerged before, even after 26 years in the system.
It worked for me. What I want to know is if it works for others. At jaseanton.com you’ll come across a number of resources where you can feel around for what you could do in your own way, at your own pace – you’re your own boss with this.
I’m not saying it’ll work for everyone, or even produce quick and easy answers, but if you take your time, you may discover things about yourself and the world around you that breathe fresh life into your days and may point you to possibilities you hadn’t seen before.
Like with the practice, the theory and methodology continually evolve. I’d welcome ideas, reflections and suggestions for further research with and from the Network. You can find contact details on the website.
Please note: this is a personal practice, not a clinical intervention or a substitute for support you may already rely on. If you try it and find it difficult, please reach out to people you trust.”
